Join us for a really fun session playing with sun printing (officially known as cyanotype printing – one of the earliest forms of photographic printing) in the grounds of this beautiful church nestled on the edge of Penn Woods.
 
We will start this fun packed 1 x hour session by foraging for natural objects and flowers/grasses in the adjacent woodland before arranging the pieces into patterns and pictures.  We will then use pre-prepared cyanotype paper to create beautiful blue sun prints.   You are also very welcome to bring items with you to try and sun print - things that work well include papercut designs, pressed flowers and letters.
 
For Bucks Art Weeks this workshop will be taking place in our Workshop Tent at Holy Trinity Church, Penn Street, HP7 0XP.
 
The session will finish around noon, so feel free to visit our art exhibition or have a delicious lunch in The Blooming Cafe pop up with your family.
 
All materials will be provided.  Each pair will have the opportunity to create 6xA5 prints.
 
Bucks Art Weeks at Where Inspiration Blooms

Join us for our 10 day festival celebrating local artists, crafters and creatives as part of Bucks Art Weeks. Alongside a temporary exhibition comprising 16 established and emerging Bucks-based artists, across a wide range of different artistic mediums, we will be running a series of workshops including willow weaving, cyanotype printing, sketching, painting and family art activities. And as if all that wasn’t enough we also have a delicious array of refreshments courtesy of local pop up, The Blooming Cafe.
