We’re so excited to welcome back Sam Slator from The Sewing Loft for this fabulously fun one-day sewing workshop. Christmas pyjamas have become quite the trend in recent years, but in true Where Inspiration Blooms style, we’re encouraging you to make a pair to treasure and enjoy for years to come, rather than something fast and disposable.
Sam Slator’s sewing workshops continue to grow in popularity, inspiring local amateur sewers to dust off their machines and see what they can create. We have run this class several times over the last couple of years and it has been a sell-out every time as it's such a versatile pattern, perfect for all sorts of adaptations.
During the day you’ll learn how to make your very own pair of pyjama bottoms – a wonderfully useful project that will give you the confidence to make lots more at home. Once you’ve mastered the pattern, you can go on at home to make cosy winter bottoms for hibernating by the fire, yoga trousers with elasticated cuffs, or thoughtful handmade gifts like summer shorts for the kids. The possibilities are endless!
Sam will gently guide you through everything from cutting your fabric to those all-important finishing touches. And if you finish your bottoms on the day, you’ll have the chance to use your leftover fabric to create a festive motif for a t-shirt – turning your project into a fabulous matching pyjama set. You could then go on to make one for everyone in the family when you get home.
This class is suitable for adults and teens aged 13+, so it’s a lovely one to enjoy together. If you’d like to make it a parent-and-teen experience, we have a special discount code available – just email jules@whereinspirationblooms.co.uk and we’ll send it your way.

Once you’ve booked we’ll be in touch to chat through fabric choices, sizing and your sewing machine set-up. There’s no need to worry if you’re feeling a little rusty or unsure – Sam will be there to guide you every step of the way.
This workshop has been put together, and will be led by our expert sewing teacher, Sam Slator, who also runs her own mending business, The Sewing Loft.
Sam is a huge advocate for sustainable fashion and regularly teaches a range of different sewing classes with us.
Sam also runs a two-week evening course with us which is a great place to start if you have a sewing machine that hasn’t been used in a while!
If you want to learn more about Sam and her work then you can follow her on Instagram or visit her website. https://www.the-sewing-loft.com/
At Where Inspiration Blooms, we’re big fans of delicious cake! In this class, you can enjoy a choice of traditional and herbal teas from Chesham-based tea connoisseurs, Two Spoons, as well as both caffeinated and decaf coffee. We have dairy and non-dairy milks to suit every preference, and our homemade cakes are always sourced from good local bakers. We also make sure those who need gluten-free options aren’t left out, with carefully selected treats. If you have any allergies, please do let us know when you book so we can make sure everyone has a wonderful and worry-free treat.
Please note that we will only be able to run this class/course if we have a minimum of 5 guests. All of our teachers are highly skilled in their fields, but being an artist isn't always a well paid profession so we hope you understand why it's important that we ensure that our teachers can afford to run each of their classes. Should the class not be able to go ahead we will contact you no less than 2 weeks before it is due to start and we will of course, offer you a full refund.
If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to contact us via our email julesandcaroline@whereinspirationblooms.co.uk
Thank you so much for booking onto one of our workshops — we’re really looking forward to welcoming you and hope you find your class to be a space where your inspiration can really bloom 😉
