Join us for a really special family class the day before Mother's Day. Nicky, from Celebrate! Cakes ran her first family cupcake decorating class with us last Mother’s Day and it was an instant hit, so much so that we’ve gone on to run summer holidays, Halloween & Christmas sessions. She’s a brilliant cake baker and a really warm and friendly teacher. We know your family will love this workshop. You can play with your creativity alongside your children and then there’s the added bonus that you don’t have to clean up afterwards!
In this 90 minute workshop you will learn the basics of cake decorating, from different techniques for piping buttercream to modelling and sugar-work using different kinds of icing. You can then decorate your cakes (which will have been handmade by Nicky) with your favourite Mother’s Day designs.
At the end of the class, each family pairing will leave with a simple presentation box containing half a dozen delicious vanilla and chocolate cupcakes. Each one will have been uniquely decorated by your family with hand-crafted decoration, just in time for Mother’s Day… (unless of course they get munched before you leave the room…!!!).
In terms of what to bring with you, we’d recommend a perfect recipe of a pinch of enthusiasm and an apron for everyone – we will provide everything else.

At Where Inspiration Blooms, we’re big fans of delicious cake but as this is a cake decorating class we will instead have some biscuits to keep everyone’s sweet tooth under control (we don’t want the decorations disappearing into little tummies!). Adults can enjoy a choice of traditional and herbal teas from Chesham-based tea connoisseurs, Two Spoons, as well as both caffeinated and decaf coffee. We have dairy and non-dairy milks to suit every preference. We will have a choice of squash or water for littlies.

Please note that we will only be able to run this class/course if we have a minimum of 10 guests. All of our teachers are highly skilled in their fields, but being an artist isn't always a well paid profession so we hope you understand why it's important that we ensure that our teachers can afford to run each of their classes. Should the class not be able to go ahead we will contact you no less than 2 weeks before it is due to start and we will of course, offer you a full refund.
