We have wanted to run regular sewing classes for such a long time, so when Sam Slator from The Sewing Loft in Chesham said that she was thinking of introducing workshops to her already fabulous mending and making business we absolutely jumped at the chance.
 
In this evening workshop we will learning all about zips by making a really cute small zipped bag.
 
Sam will guide you through every part of the process, from cutting out the pattern and choosing your fabric right through to adding the zip.  All you have to do is decide whether your bag is a make-up bag, pencil case or small clutch bag! 
 
We will have a selection of fabrics and zips for you to choose from but you are very welcome to bring your own fabric if there is a specific style or look that you want to achieve. We will supply all zips.
 
This class is suitable for adults but also for teens aged 13+ so if you do want to join your teen and come together we have created a promotional code to save you a few pounds on your booking! Please email jules@whereinspirationblooms.co.uk and we will send you the code to use at checkout.
 
What do you need to bring
Ideally please bring your own sewing machine (if this is a problem please contact us and we can supply one subject to how many people need one - first come first served!)
Fabric scissors
Thread
Measuring tape
Pins or weights for your fabric
Ruler
Tailors chalk
Optional - half a metre of cotton fabric
 
We will supply all other materials, including your zip and will be in touch once you have booked your class to discuss your fabric, sizing requirements and what machine you have etc. Don't worry...we will hand hold you through the whole process if you have any concerns at all.

This class will only be able to go ahead if we have a minimum number of 5 guests. All of our teachers are highly skilled in their fields, but being an artist isn't always a well paid profession so we hope you understand why it's important that we ensure that our teachers can afford to run each of their classes. Should the class not be able to go ahead we will contact you no less than a week before the class is due to take place and full refunds will be issued.
