Decoupage and Metallic Foiling Christmas Bauble Workshop

7-9pm on Wednesday 16th December

£38 per person including all materials and festive refreshments

Suitable for beginners.

Join expert craftswoman and our lovely friend Tracy from Blue Boy Furniture for a fabulously festive evening where you’ll learn two of the impactful techniques that Tracy uses in her business to create stunning pieces of upcycled furniture.

In just two hours, you’ll discover the beautiful art of decoupage and how to apply metallic leaf (think gold leaf, but in different colours!). You’ll then bring these two techniques together on a gorgeous Christmas bauble of your own, playing with patterns, colours and metallic details to create something completely individual.

No previous experience is needed, and Tracy will guide you through each step, so you can relax, get creative and enjoy seeing your design come to life.

Tracy has a collection of beautiful decoupage papers, so there’ll be a selection of gorgeous designs to choose from, whether you love traditional Christmas patterns, delicate florals or something a little more contemporary. She’ll show you how to transform simple materials with these wonderfully effective techniques, layering paper designs and adding flashes of metallic leaf to create something with real depth, texture and a little festive sparkle. You might be surprised at just how professional the results can look, even if you’ve never tried either technique before!

Come on your own and meet some fellow creative people, or gather your family or friends and make it your Christmas night out. There’ll be festive refreshments as you work, and when the making is done, the Hit or Miss pub is just across the road from The Pavilion, making it very easy to carry on the evening with a festive drink and a bit of catching up.

You’ll head home with a unique, hand-decorated Christmas bauble to either give as a gift or hang on your own tree, ready to be proudly brought out year after year as part of your own Christmas traditions.

And of course, The Pavilion will be looking suitably festive too, with Christmas music, twinkly decorations and a very warm welcome. We’ll have a selection of festive hot and cold drinks waiting for you, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, along with some delicious homemade Christmas treats from the lovely Susie at Angelic Cakes in Amersham. Plus, if you want to make a real party of it, you’re welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks!

Please do let us know if you have any food intolerances or allergies, as we would be really happy to cater for you.

Please note that we will only be able to run this class if we have a minimum of five guests. All of our teachers are highly skilled in their fields, but being an artist isn't always a well-paid profession, so we hope you understand why it's important that we ensure our teachers can afford to run each of their classes. Should the class not be able to go ahead, we will contact you no less than two weeks before it is due to start and, of course, offer you a full refund.

If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to contact us via email at jules@whereinspirationblooms.co.uk.

Thank you so much for booking onto one of our workshops — we’re really looking forward to welcoming you and hope you find your class to be a space where your inspiration can really bloom 😉
