We have wanted to run an oil painting class since we started Where Inspiration Blooms back in 2018 so we are really excited that local artist Jane Peacock will be joining us this year to teach it! 
Jane is not only a well-known Chilterns based print artist but also a highly experienced teacher, so we are really excited to have her as part of our Where Inspiration Blooms community of teachers.
 
In this 2-hour workshop, under Jane’s expert guidance, you will learn basic oil painting techniques and will leave with your very own landscape oil painting.   In this relaxed informal 2-hour class Jane will unlock your creativity and support yu through painting a landscape of your choice.
We would encourage you to bring reference materials with you of your favourite landscape.
 
Jane will take you through what materials and equipment are best for beginners as well as how to care for them (oil painting can be more tricky to clean up than water-based paints!).  You will also learn basic composition techniques and tips and how to mix the right colour palettes for your piainting.  Jane's a really enthusiastic and supportive teacher, so you're in very encouraging hands.
 
This workshop is suitable for beginners as well as those who have painted before.
