As mums of teenagers we are accutely aware of how hard it is to find things for our kids to do that really excite and engage them (and don't feel like school!)... and our pottery wheel throwing classes are always a popular choice.  The class is suitable for teens in school years 7 and above.  Your teen will be taught by co-founder of Where Inspiration Blooms and expert potter Caroline Oden - she will be teaching this class in exactly the same way that we teach our adults!
 
Our Teen Wheel Throwing Workshop is really great opportunity for your 'yound adult' to become fully immersed in clay and explore their interest outside the traditional 'educational' school setting.
 
In this really fun hour and a half session, your teen will be taken through the basic skills needed to throw on the wheel, such as clay preparation, centring the clay and pulling up a cylindrical shape (a key part of throwng as this is the basis for most wheel thrown ceramic pieces).
 
Each guest will be working at their own wheel so that they can have maximum throwing time rather than having to share. Included in the price is also the opportunity to have 1 of the pots they've made during the class clear glazed and fired.
 
This session will be held in The Studio in Holmer Green and limited to a maximum of 7 guests to ensure that everyone gets the benefit of Caroline's time and expertise.
