Friday, 20th October 7-9pm

£45 per person

All materials and canvas included.  Suitable for beginners.

In this 2-hour informal workshop, you will experiment with layering, textures and mark making to get confident with abstract acrylic painting.

Using methods Amy uses in her own practise this relaxed and informal evening will give yourself permission to let go and to play with the paint. You will be inspired by bright blooms and will create a small abstract artwork on canvas.

Amy will take you through all the materials and equipment you will be using and encourage you work with colour combinations, shapes and marks you are drawn to intuitively.

All materials will be provided. This workshop is suitable for beginners as well as those who have painted before.

Because it's Friday night, we will have some delicious home-made rhubarb or redcurrant gin to get the evening started (as well as soft and hot drinks) plus you're very welcome to bring a bottle and nibbles if you fancy making an evening of it.  Our Autumn term Friday night classes are a really brilliant way to kick start the weekend so feel free to come with friends and relax with some crafty capers.

This class will be held at our Studio in Holmer Green, HP15.

Amy is an abstract artist based in the Chilterns. Amy graduated with a First Class BA degree in Craft from the University of Brighton followed by an MA is Fine Art Sculpture from Wimbledon School of Art. Amy now focuses her work on creating large abstract paintings taking inspiration from forms and textures found in the natural landscape.
