Join us for an hour of Bucks Art Week inspired super fun 'Playing with Paint'.
Local abstract artist Amy Huitson has exhibited with us since we first ran a Bucks Art Week exhibition back in 2020 and is always hugely popular so we are really excited about this session as we have never offered anything like it before!
Join Amy for an hour of literally playing with paint. Take your inspiration from anything you've seen in the exhibition, the local church and surrounding ancient woodland or simply grab a brush and make some marks...this session is for anyone who hasn't painted in years and wants to remember what it feels like... or who fancies an hour of creativity and self expression.
Amy will provide everyone with a selection of the paints that she uses in her own work, some pre-painted collage papers and some brushes and tools to create your own unique marks. To help everyone get started Amy will run a very brief warm up exercise - one that she uses in her own practise which will unlock your creativity.
Amy will be on hand to offer expert guidance (only if you need it - this is your session!) and tips and tricks, should you need them, to really get the best out of the materials.
Everyone will have the opportunity to create 3 original abstract greetings cards, handpainted during the session. You can choose from a selection of different card templates/shapes.
Please do let us know if you are booking this class for a child as we will also have a selection of fully washable/child friendly paints available for them!
Bucks Art Weeks at Where Inspiration Blooms

Join us for our 10 day festival celebrating local artists, crafters and creatives as part of Bucks Art Weeks. Alongside a temporary exhibition comprising 16 established and emerging Bucks-based artists, across a wide range of different artistic mediums, we will be running a series of workshops including willow weaving, sketching, abstract painting and family activities. And as if all that wasn’t enough we also have a delicious array of refreshments courtesy of local pop up, The Blooming Cafe.
