We’re so excited to welcome back Sam Slator from The Sewing Loft for this fabulously fun one-day workshop. Christmas pyjamas have become quite the trend in recent years, but in true Where Inspiration Blooms style, we’re encouraging you to make a pair to treasure and enjoy for years to come, rather than settling for fast, disposable fashion.
 
During the day you’ll learn how to make your very own pair of pyjama bottoms – a wonderfully versatile starting project. Once you’ve mastered a pair in class, you’ll have the confidence to make more at home as thoughtful handmade gifts, or to adapt the pattern into all sorts of cosy and practical pieces. Think summer shorts for the kids, snuggly full-length bottoms for winter hibernation by the fire, yoga trousers with elasticated cuffs – once you’ve got this pattern under your belt, the possibilities are endless!
 
Sam will gently guide you from cutting your fabric through to the finishing touches that make your piece uniquely yours. And if you finish your bottoms on the day, you’ll even have the chance to create a festive motif from your leftover fabric to pop onto a t-shirt – transforming your project into a fabulous matching pyjama set (one you could even replicate for the whole family!).

All you’ll need to bring is your own sewing machine if possible (don’t worry, we have a few available to loan on a first-come-first-served basis), 2.5 metres of a fabric of your choice (Christmassy if you wish, but it doesn’t have to be), and a packed lunch. We’ll keep you fuelled with unlimited hot drinks and delicious homemade cake throughout the day.
 
We’ll provide all the other materials you need, and once you’ve booked we’ll be in touch to chat through fabric choices, sizing and your machine set-up. No need to worry if you’re feeling unsure – we’ll be with you every step of the way.

Please note, this class will only run if we have a minimum of 5 guests. All of our teachers are highly skilled and we want to make sure they’re properly supported for their time and expertise. If we aren’t able to go ahead, we’ll let you know no later than a week before and of course issue full refunds.
