Saturday 18th October 2025 from 10am - 2pm
@ The Pavilion in Penn Street, Amersham
£75 per person. Suitable for beginners
We’re absolutely delighted to welcome back the wonderfully talented Sam Slator from The Sewing Loft for this joyful one-day workshop, where you’ll be making your very own cross-back apron.
Designed to be one-size-fits-all, this apron is both practical and beautiful – a piece you’ll love to wear in the kitchen, garden or studio, and one you can go on to make again and again as thoughtful, sustainable Christmas presents.
Throughout the day Sam will gently guide you from cutting your fabric right through to those lovely finishing touches that make your apron uniquely yours.
As always, no experience is necessary – just a willingness to have a go and enjoy the process.
To take part, please bring along your own sewing machine if you have one (we do have a limited number available to borrow), cotton fabric of your choice (washed and pressed before the workshop), three spools of matching thread, bobbins, fabric scissors, a measuring tape, and pins or fabric weights. Don’t forget a packed lunch too! We’ll keep you well fuelled with endless cups of tea and coffee and, of course, plenty of homemade cake.
Once you’ve booked, we’ll be in touch to chat through your fabric choice, sizing and machine set-up so you feel completely ready for the day. And if you’d like to see more of Sam’s gorgeous work before joining us, you’ll find her on Instagram at The Sewing Loft. She’ll also be back with us in September to run a two-week beginner’s sewing machine course – details are on the website.
As ever, our classes need a minimum of five guests to go ahead – it’s important to us that our brilliant teachers are properly supported for their time and expertise. If we don’t quite reach numbers, we’ll let you know at least a week in advance and refund you in full.
For any questions, just pop us a message at julesandcaroline@whereinspirationblooms.co.uk – we’d love to hear from you.
