We’re so pleased to be welcoming back the wonderful Jane Peacock for one of our most popular workshops (this is our 6th year of running this class!). Jane is a much-loved Chilterns-based artist and a hugely experienced teacher, and we’re delighted she’s part of our Where Inspiration Blooms community.

In this relaxed 2½ hour workshop, Jane will gently guide you through the art of lino printing a single colour print (although she will also show you how to use a graduated colour blend to create an interesting effect. You’ll learn the basics of the process step by step and create your very own handmade prints to take home – a perfect way to capture the season’s beauty in your own designs.

We have both been active participants on this class numerous times as it’s such an enjoyable technique and Jane is brilliant as helping the ideas in your imagination come to life.

From choosing the right tools and making different marks, to planning your design, carving, rolling inks and printing, Jane will share all the techniques you need to begin your own lino printing journey.

It’s a calming, creative workshop – a lovely way to embrace the height of Summer, learn a new skill, and enjoy a mindful few hours of making.

Jane Peacock lives and works just down the road from us in the Chiltern Hills, where the surrounding beechwoods, flint and chalk inspire her dreamlike, abstract landscapes. Her paintings, drawings, collages and prints explore deep time, ancestral traces and a bodily presence within the land.

She completed the New Platform Art Professional Development Programme (2024–2025), the Turps Correspondence Course (2022–2023) and a BA (Hons) Fine Art at Kingston University. Jane has been the Artist in Residence at Wycombe Museum, is a founding member of Fractured Land Collective, and has recently been invited to exhibit a number of her works in prominent exhibitions in London.

At Where Inspiration Blooms, we’re big fans of delicious cake! In this class, you can enjoy a choice of traditional and herbal teas from Chesham-based tea connoisseurs, Two Spoons, as well as both caffeinated and decaf coffee. We have dairy and non-dairy milks to suit every preference, and our homemade cakes are always sourced from good local bakers. We also make sure those who need gluten-free options aren’t left out.  If you have any allergies, please do let us know when you book so we can make sure everyone has a wonderful and worry-free treat.

Please note that we will only be able to run this class/course if we have a minimum of 5 guests. All of our teachers are highly skilled in their fields, but being an artist isn't always a well paid profession so we hope you understand why it's important that we ensure that our teachers can afford to run each of their classes. Should the class not be able to go ahead we will contact you no less than 2 weeks before it is due to start and we will of course, offer you a full refund.

If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to contact us via our email jules@whereinspirationblooms.co.uk

Thank you so much for booking onto one of our workshops — we’re really looking forward to welcoming you and hope you find your class to be a space where your inspiration can really bloom 😉
