We first ran a workshop with Jen Roffe back in the very earliest days of Where Inspiration Blooms. In fact it was our very first sell-out class... but then through a number of various different factors (not least covid and us having to leave The Barn) any future collaborations fell by the wayside.
 
Fast forward to November 2024 and you can imagine how excited we were when we bumped into Jen at Peterley Christmas Market... and we began planning to work together again. We ran a sell-out class in May, which Jules was overjoyed to have been able to get a place on, and we have plans for an adult Autumn and Christmas class....but.... Jen also has a fantastic workshop for kids which we thought would be perfect for the Summer holidays.
 
This August, your juniors are warmly invited to join expert calligrapher, Jen Roffe to learn how to create beautifully joyful lettering using brush pens in this modern, relaxed and joyful style of calligraphy.
 
In her own words Jen says…
“I really love inspiring a younger generation of budding brush-letterers and creative kids.
“Using a rainbow of colour pigment pens we will explore the art of brush lettering and calligraphy, namely
❤️creating essential brush strokes
🧡experimenting with upper and lower case alphabets
💛mixing colours using different pens to great effect
💗creating our own brush lettered words and quotes to take home and pop up in a favourite spot
💜Each student will receive a starter brush lettering kit, including coloured brush pens, tips and tricks lettering worksheets, example alphabets and word inspiration and plenty of quality practice sheets, as well as their finished piece - hand lettered onto card.
