Discover the joy of traditional block printing and create your own beautiful nature-inspired tote bag to take home.

Guided by Stacey Young from Meet The Moon Designs, you'll learn the timeless art of hand block printing using a carefully curated collection of beautifully carved wooden printing blocks inspired by the natural world. Choose from designs including bumblebees, hares, seed heads, wildflowers and other seasonal motifs to create a design that's uniquely yours.

You'll begin by experimenting with different layouts and techniques on a piece of practice fabric, giving you the confidence to explore colour, pattern and composition before printing your final tote bag.

Relaxed, creative and suitable for complete beginners, this workshop is a wonderful introduction to block printing and a lovely opportunity to create something both beautiful and practical. Your finished tote bag is designed to be used time and time again. 

 

We all know that well-made, reusable objects should always replace the disposable but handmade objects that you have crafted yourself are extra special. It feels a fitting way to honour the spirit of the Harvest Festival – respecting the resources around us, valuing traditional crafts and choosing to make things that are both useful and lasting.
