A Bit About Me
I studied textiles at the Royal College of Art graduating in 2011 and my particular area of interest is combining art with fashion. In the past I have sold design work to major High Street retailers but found this came with many restrictions and limitations, particularly as I always tend to use so many colours!
I am currently producing a wide variety of work. My range includes tiny 'fashionista' sheep which are each unique and work as a way of experimenting with combinations of pattern and colour, similar to when I was producing swatches for fashion. I also make framed swatches, small knitted items such as zipped pouch bags, cushions and scarves, which are again mostly one-offs and completely original. And finally I make a few knitted jackets, kimono or shrug style which are striking, unusual and colourful!
I enjoy using lots of colours in my work now! This is combined with stripes, geometrics, jaquards and texture in striking artwork to wear, hang, and decorate your home with.
