With small business suffering as result of the current global health situation, we've had to change our business model at Where Inpiration Blooms very quickly to maintain any sort of income. The marketing of our new digital workshops hub containing all the new courses will be absolutely critical to selling them, something which Jules, our co-founder knows only too well. She has extensive experience of crisis management marketing & PR.
This 5-hour workshop (across two separate evenings) has been put together by Jules. Prior to starting the business with Caroline, Jules spent a 25-year career in top level PR & Marketing creating and directing campaigns for an enormous range of different high street named brands, from Thomas the Tank Engine to Katy Perry and everything in between.
The workshop covers the marketing essentials but also some key pointers for right now... what can I do right now to support my business through this crisis? what is PR? should I be advertising or can I cancel my adverts? do I need flyers? what one thing can I do to promote my business if I have no income right now but need to do something? where do I start with my marketing? how can I grow my social media followers? how can I get magazines to write about me? Is it worth even bothering right now? etc...
Jules will be joined by local PR/Copywriting expert Jo Henderson who also has decades of experience across a range of different international industries including film & TV both in UK and in LA where she did the PR for several high-profile movie premieres working with stars including Jennifer Aniston, Leonard Di Caprio and George Clooney.
Jo's skill lies in getting to the heart of what matters to your business, having written countless case studies for the European Business Awards... she is also a self-confessed fully paid up member of the grammar police!
In recent years Jo has turned her attention to website copy, blog content and language for social media as a consultant PR wordsmith.
For this workshop Jules and Jo have distilled their extensive experience into just 5 hours of 'everything you need to know' giving you the tools you need to specifically market your business. No marketing jargon or baffling marketing-speak but straightforward, honest advice on what is most likely to work for you and your business and what is going to be a waste of time.
In the course of marketing Where Inspiration Blooms we have come into contact with so many amazing crafters, artists and teachers who have such incredible skills but are nervous about PR & marketing and all they represent, so this workshop is really going to work best for smaller businesses or individuals who are wanting to grow their class numbers or reach out to new people to buy their products.
As small business owners ourselves we also know that taking time out to come to a marketing workshop is tricky (especially when you factor in childcare!) so this workshop will run across 2 evenings to hopefully make the juggle of work/life balance a little easier!
