Join us to explore & notice the forest as she springs into life. Bathe in the healing power of nature & all her beauty, set intentions, take time to relax & release any stresses. Find inspiration from the woodland to handcrafted a simple & beautiful soap dish.
This collaboration between The Chiltern Sound Spa and Where Inspiration Blooms is sure to slow down an overactive mind, and reintroduce a sense of calm to your life.
Forest bathing, also know as shinrin-yoku, was developed in Japan and has become a cornerstone of preventive health care and healing in Japanese medicine. Clinical testing and research have demonstrated the physical and immunological benefits of contact with nature, and shinrin-yoku is like a bridge that opens our senses, and spans the gap between us and the natural world.
During our mindfulness walk, we will take time to connect with the woodland around us, and plant our intentions for the months ahead. You will be encouraged to pick some leaves, grasses or flowers whilst connecting with the life and energy of the woodland. Following the forest bathing session, we will go back to The Barn and use these foraged items to imprint designs in our individual handmade soapdishes. Each soapdish will be glazed by Caroline, and will be ready to be collected in a couple of weeks time.
This event will go ahead no matter rain or shine, so please dress in suitable warm outdoor clothes that may get dirty. Gardening clothes and wellies!
All materials will be provided and no previous experience is neccessary at all.
