Advanced Sourdough Workshop

Friday, 9th July 10am to 12noon


£45 per person INCLUDES ingredients to make your enriched sourdough but does NOT include proving basket, bowls and dough scraper.


Join us for this brand new workshop from Guy Stafford, our hugely popular sourdough expert.


In this more advanced workshop Guy will be teaching us how to make an enriched dough with eggs, milk and butter.  This is the sort of dough which can be used to make things like brioche, hot cross buns, crumpets, cinnamon rolls and panettone.


This workshop is suitable for anyone with previous sourdough making experience or who has already attended one of Guy's workshops at The Barn.


We will be learning about the best ways to incorporate ingredients into our enriched dough including dried citrus fruits, dried fruits, olive, sun dried tomatoes, cheese, nuts, seeds and spices.


You’ll take home 2 different doughs, ready to prove and bake at home. - one sweet and one savoury.


This is an ideal workshop for anyone who wants to expand their bread making skills.


In this 2-hour outdoor workshop, we will also fire up the cob oven so that we can all taste some of Guy's delicious breads.


Guy will provide you with everything you need to make the dough except two bowls big enough in which to prove it (you will need to bring them with you) plus your dough scraper.  Full details of what to bring will be supplied on booking.


This workshop is not recommended for anyone who has never made sourdough before, as it assumes a basic level of knowledge and experience.
